AP CM Jagan’s target is to win 175 out of 175 Assembly seats in the next general elections. With Jagan implementing the promised welfare schemes to the people, he is extremely confident of winning all the constituencies but are MLAs strong enough in their respective constituencies? A report from political strategist Prashant Kishor’s iPAC suggested that the performance of 56 MLAs is very low.
Recently the PK team met AP CM Jagan and submitted a report. This report showed that 56 MLAs are not performing as per the people’s expectations and if the situation continues so, there are high chances of them losing the next elections thereby YCP government may fall.
Jagan was shocked upon learning about this report. The 151 YCP MLAs too learned about the report by PK team and are worried about their name in the danger zone. Along with party leadership, Jagan has decided to meet these 56 MLAs and warn them of their performance and popularity in their respective constituencies.
Since the Assembly sessions are in progress and with all the MLAs available in Amaravati, Jagan is in thoughts to hold a one-on-one meeting with 56 MLAs. Later in the day Jagan with the likes of Sajjala and others are expected to meet these 56 MLAs and issue them a final warning.
Post this meeting, Jagan will be assessing the work of these MLAs and if they continue to show negligence, the YCP leadership would be placing a new face in the respective constituency by December. Jagan wants to convey a direct message to the underperforming MLAs and ask them to step aside and make way for fresh faces.
Incidentally even before PK’s team’s report, YCP MLAs were in the bad books of people. In the ‘Gadapa-Gadapaku YCP’ event, many MLAs faced the wrath of the people for ignoring them after the elections were done. Jagan did not bother about this but he went on high alert after a report from PK’s team. That suggests how much Jagan values PK’s inputs.
