‘Kodali Nani Was A Lorry Cleaner When I Was A Corporator’

Senior Telangana Congress leader and former union minister Renuka Chowdary is back in news once again. In a latest interview, the firebrand leader opened up about her political future and made a few sensational comments on YSRCP’s Gudivada MLA Kodali Nani. Renuka also announced that she will be foraying into AP politics by contesting from Gudivada assembly constituency in the next election, thereby taking on Kodali Nani head-on.

It’s well known that Kodali Nani had lashed out at Renuka Chowdary in AP assembly after she extended her support to the protesting farmers of Amaravati and went on to take part in the Arasavalli farmers protest march a few days ago. Nani mocked Renuka, saying that she cannot win even as a Corporator in her Khammam constituency and that she had no business in AP politics.

In a fitting counter retort to Nani, Renuka said that Nani used to work as a lorry cleaner when she was elected as a Corporator. “Nani doesn’t know my history. He should do a Google search to know more about me,” said Renuka. Addressing Nani as ‘Bujji’, Renuka mocked Nani’s innocence and thanked him for mentioning her name in the AP Assembly.

“One has to spend a lot of money on publicity. But thanks to Nani, I got free publicity. He challenged me saying that I cannot win in Khammam. That’s why I have decided to contest against him in his Gudivada assembly on a Congress ticket in the next election. I have never contested as an MLA throughout my political career. But thanks to Nani, I am going to contest as an MLA for the first time. I have been elected from the Khammam parliamentary constituency for a record number of times. Nani will know what I am capable of if he walks on the streets of Khammam,” said Renuka.
