On the eve of Hyderabad Liberation Day, the BJP held its own event and the likes of Union Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde graced the occasion. Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai was also supposed to attend this event but it was cancelled at the last minute.
In view of Amit Shah and other BJP leaders’ arrival, the TRS party resorted to posters campaigns yet again. Accordingly the TRS erected ’40 percent Commission’ posters in parts of Hyderabad mocking the Karnataka CM Bommai and his government. There have been huge reports that the Karnataka government is indulging in huge corruption. Contractors and private schools have written to PM Modi regarding this commission corruption and it made it to the national headlines as well.
TRS took an opportunity from this and targeted Karnataka CM Bommai but he skipped to be in Hyderabad. But these posters reached the notice of Karnataka CM Bommai and he fumed on the TRS led Telangana government.
“Such actions would harm the atmosphere between the states. What if we expose TRS corruption in Karnataka?” questioned Bommai. The Chief Minister opined that this was a pre-planned conspiracy and it would damage the cordial relations between the states and would have severe consequences.
“TRS has made baseless allegations against my government and just imagine, if we put up similar posters against TRS government. It is unacceptable to shame one state in another just for political gains,” said CM Bommai.
In the recent past TRS left no stone unturned to hit back at the BJP and even for PM Modi’s meeting, the party put up such posters which drew a lot of attention.
