In a latest development, the head tonsure case of AP has been transferred to Union Social Justice and Empowerment ministry. About a week back President of India, Ramnath Kovind reacted seriously to the letter written by the victim Varaprasad who sort permission to join the Maoists as he had lost faith and was humiliated by the local police.
Following this, the President Kovind transferred the petition to Assistant Secretary, General Administration Department, A. Janardhan Babu for further investigation. But there is no progress in the case.
On Tuesday, Varaprasad received a register post that this case is now transferred to the Union Social Justice and Empowerment ministry and they would be investigating the case further. Varaprasad called on the media and showed the documents that this case is transferred to the union ministry.
Also the President Kovind’s secretary Ashok Kumar asked the union ministry to consider this as an emergency one.
Overall the head tonsure case has gone into the hands of union ministry and hope a thorough probe would be done and the victim gets justice as he claims innocence.
