Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy was reckoned as number two in YSR Congress party. But over the period of time, his prominence in the party has drastically come down while advisor to CM Jagan, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy is encroaching on Vijayasai Reddy’s place. And looking at the recent developments, Vijayasai Reddy’s doesn’t even stand at number three position.
Vijayasai Reddy lost the confidence of YCP leaders and the party seems to be disowning him suggest the developments. Usually, if there are criticisms and accusations from the opposition and opposition media against any of the main leaders of YCP, there will be a strong counter attack from the ruling party.
Jagan’s media Sakshi too attacks the opposition but in case of Vijayasai Reddy, Sakshi is taking a different route. Earlier he was given high priority in Sakshi TV and paper and now the priorities have changed.
The latest land deals in Vizag and Eenadu media has carried out extensive articles on it. But from YCP, there is absolutely no word to counter attack. None of the notable leaders have condemned Eenadu’s reports while Sakshi media completely overlooked the main issue.
Vijayasai Reddy himself reacted to Eenadu’s report after two days. He called the press yesterday but he seems to be clearly frustrated and he fell into defense going by his statements. He said he had nothing to do with the properties and assets bought by his daughter and son-in-law.
In that line, Vijayasai in the past made many allegations against TDP and its leaders. He even dragged the caste angle in his allegations. Despite his clarification and reverse attack on Eenadu, his tactics failed to create an impact.
This latest controversy implies that Vijayasai Reddy is doing solo batting while YCP leaders are playing a spectator role. Meanwhile, his indirect comments about a real estate dispute related to the Vizag MP is proof of the clashes within Vizag YCP.
