The political heat has turned intense in Telangana in view of Munugode by-election. BJP’s candidate Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy is trying everything in his hand to convince the people that he resigned to Congress and MLA seat for the development of Munugode. But somehow Rajgopal is lagging behind in the race.
Sensing trouble, Rajgopal is seeking support from other political parties. In that line, he met TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday night at the latter’s residence. This meeting was officially confirmed by Telugu Yuvatha Secretary Avinash and he reported that Rajgopal requested Chandrababu to extend support to him. It is unclear what was Chandrababu Naidu’s response to Rajgopal.
That was unexpected from Rajgopal to seek support from Chandrababu Naidu. Telangana TDP is not contesting the Munugode by-election for unknown reasons and they are undecided on whom to support. T-PCC chief Revanth Reddy asked TDP Munugode cadre to support Congress candidate and on the other hand, BJP wants parties that are not contesting to support them.
On the contrary, the TRS is using this and trying to push it on the public that the BJP and TDP are having a secret pact in the Munugode by-election and urged the people to be aware while voting. Political analysts believe that Rajgopal’s meeting Chandrababu is a suicidal move and would completely work against him. Given the impression Telangana-TDP still carries among the people of Telangana and Munugode, Rajgopal miscalculated this move and might cost dearly for him.
