Alliance With BJP Not Strong: Pawan Kalyan

Published by

Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan admitted that the alliance with the national party, BJP, was not strong. “The Jana Sena and BJP have an alliance but somehow, both the parties are not able to work together for a cause strongly. The Jana Sena cadre and BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh know this fact,” he said.

“When I asked the BJP for a roadmap for the future course of action, ex-MP and veteran Undavalli Arun Kumar had criticized me for waiting to get a nod from the BJP even when the JS has a strong cadre and lakhs of activists to work sincerely towards a goal. Don’t you have shame, Undavalli said.”

“I did not take Undavalli’s comments as criticism but considered his words in anger as blessings. I never get hurt when seniors chide me. I have no such problem.”

Pawan said that he respected BJP. “The party had been in politics for decades and Modi cannot be underestimated but that does not mean I degrade myself. I asked for a roadmap because I am not a man hungry for power. At times, I am being forced to change my strategies for the sake of public. When rowdies and gundas are at the helm of affairs, I am supposed to save my people from their atrocities,” he said to which there was a heavy applause from the party activists.

“I always respect Modi. I keep meeting him and try to work in coordination but that does not mean I am enslaved to the BJP.”

Further, Pawan said that he would send his team to meet the Governor and represent the issue of attacks on the Jana Sena cadre in Vizag. “I know meeting the Governor would not have any impact but we are doing it as per the procedure,” he said.
