The mysterious murder of AP CM YS Jagan’s Babai Vivekananda Reddy has already taken many twists and turns and yet they are not stopping. Recently Viveka’s daughter filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting to transfer the case to another state and with the petition approaching for hearing tomorrow, the CBI has filed counterclaim.
As expected the CBI has backed the petition filed by Sunitha Reddy. In her petition she claimed that the accused in her father’s murder are out on bail and now they are threatening the witnesses. The AP Police and accused have joined hands and are trying to erase the evidences and witnesses in connection with the murder.
The CBI in its counterclaim stated that the officers who were investigating the case, were charged with false cases. “The accused in this case have filed cases against the probe officers. The cop who gave 164 statement received promotions but nowhere the CBI pressured him to give a statement. Deliberate attempts are being made to delay the case because the police and accused have come to an understanding. Also the police are making tactical moves as per the accused inputs,” stated CBI.
With the CBI filing counter and mostly in support of YS Viveka’s petition, there are high chances that the Supreme Court may transfer the case to another state. But if the AP government can defend that it is being absolutely transparent in the investigation, the Supreme Court will have to take a tough call.
