Last week some dramatic developments took place in AP Tourism minister Roja’s Assembly constituency Nagari. Without Roja’s presence, a rebel group laid the foundation stone for the Rythu Bharosa Kendra (RBK) and this upset Roja big time. Pained by this Roja dialed one of her supporters and added that she is unable to fit in politics.
Many assumed that Roja will be forced to quit politics by her rebels and that might happen before the 2024 elections. So will Roja leave politics? Answering this question, Roja also clarified on the internal differences within the party and also in her constituency politics.
“News channels will telecast whatever they want for TRPs. Am I quitting politics?” questioned Roja in return but she acknowledged the internal differences within the party. “YCP is a family to me and just like any other family, we do have some internal issues and we are very much capable of resolving them,” added Roja.
When asked about retaining Nagari seat in 2024, Roja laughed at such political rumours. “May be the person who is spreading such rumours might have dreamt. If I’m snubbed then no one would get a ticket in this party,” replied Roja. She added that she broke certain myths that the person who wins Nagari will not retain it the second but she defied it.
“In 2019 elections, the Telugu Desam party campaigned that the winning at Nagari will turn bad luck for that party and it will not form a government. I have gone past both these myths,” said Roja.
