Indian origin Rishi Sunak has scripted history as he is set to take charge as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Since Monday afternoon wishes are pouring down for Rishi from every corner of the country.
We know that Rishi is the son-in-law of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and the tech boss in his first reaction congratulated Rishi. “Congratulations to Rishi. We are proud of him and we wish him success. We are confident he will do his best for the people of the United Kingdom,” said Narayana Murthy speaking to ANI.
Murthy’s wife and philanthropist Sudha Murthy also extended best wishes to her son-in-law Rishi Sunak. “Congratulations Rishi,” wrote Sudha in her Twitter handle, which is not verified though, because she keeps herself low profile.
Rishi was an alumni of Oxford and Stanford Universities. He met Akshata Murthy in Stanford and developed a liking for each other. With parents’ approval, Rishi and Akshata tied the knot. The couple are blessed with two daughters and they do often visit Bengaluru to meet the Murthy family.
