TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s comments on 2024 elections terming it as his last has invited speculations about his retirement from politics. But Chandrababu was clear enough that he urged people to vote for TDP in the next polls and be part of the state’s progress.
Yet the main debate is centered around Naidu’s comments on ‘Last election’ and from YCP, there are many reactions and most of them are criticism in nature. AP IT minister Gudivada Amarnath opined that Naidu is resorting to blackmail politics.
“Dragging Nara Bhuvaneshwari into politics and taking emotional advantage from it is shameful. If Chandrababu Naidu doesn’t contest elections, it’s no big deal. In fact he is an unwanted person in politics,” said Amarnath.
Firebrand YCP minister Ambati Rambabu opined that Chandrababu accepted defeat even before going to 2024 elections. “Generally politicians who know about their future that they will not be voted to power, would indulge in such tricks of begging or blackmailing people. The next elections are just one and half years away and Chandrababu has no confidence that TDP will return to power,” said Ambati.
The YCP minister added that Chandrababu Naidu has lost his political ability and is now a veteran. “Insults and humiliations are common in politics. But time and again Chandrababu is dragging his wife unnecessarily. Take the case of AP CM YS Jagan, he faced a lot more than Chandrababu,” opined Ambati.
Another YCP minister Seediri Appalaraju suggested Chandrababu Naidu to quit politics. “I think Chandrababu has summed up his political innings with his comments. It would be better if he leaves politics,” said Appalaraju.
The context of Chandrababu Naidu’s remarks were clearly hijacked but that’s how politics work.
