A lot has been discussed about BJP – Jana Sena’s reunion with Telugu Desam. Last week when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AP, Pawan Kalyan met him and there were reports that the three parties might reunite ahead of the 2024 elections. But nothing as such happened.
In a latest acknowledgement AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju clarified their party’s stand with Telugu Desam. “Our Delhi bosses have informed Pawan Kalyan that there is no question of reuniting with Telugu Desam. BJP is against dynasty political parties and AP will not benefit from such parties in any way. Pawan was informed the same,” said Somu in an interview with a leading Telugu news channel.
Somu exuded confidence that Pawan Kalyan will stick to the BJP come what may be the political circumstances. “I hope that Pawan will continue his association with us and together we are confident of contesting in 2024 general elections,” commented Somu.
So with the AP BJP chief himself making a clear cut statement on BJP – Jana Sena’s rebond with Telugu Desam, it is going to be a triangle contest in 2024.
Yet we never know because Pawan Kalyan doesn’t want to split the anti-incumbency against the YCP government. This decision of AP BJP or the BJP may force Pawan Kalyan to rethink his political strategies.
