TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu’s three day visit to Kurnool district has changed the political atmosphere in the state. In road rallies, Chandrababu announced that 2024 might be his last election and urged people to vote for Telugu Desam to restore AP’s lost glory. Chandrababu’s comments have stormed the political circles while political analysts are assuming the context of his comments to another level.
AP minister Gummanur Jayaram who hails from Kurnool district, was all silent during Chandrababu’s visit of the district. All of a sudden minister Jayaram came down heavily on the Telugu Desam chief and added that the YCP will offer an MLC seat to Chandrababu, in case he joins YCP after the 2024 elections. The YCP minister further added that Nara Lokesh will be given an co-option post.
The Minister warned that the Telugu Desam Party will be wrapped up within six months. Jayaram said that he would show his muscle power to the TDP leaders and ensure that Chandrababu’s name goes missing from the ballot paper in the 2024 elections.
On the allegations levied by Chandrababu, Jayaram’s reaction was strong. “I demand Chandrababu to prove all the accusations against me. If they are true, I’m ready for anything and in case if they are false, what will Chandrababu do?” questioned Jayaram.
Chandrababu has gone aggressive in his Kurnool visit and like never before, his remarks on political retirement raked up a huge debate within TDP as well.
