YSRCP Rajya Sabha MP and the party’s Parliamentary Party Leader V Vijayasai Reddy’ has got a huge shocker in Rajya Sabha. Just a couple of days after his name was included in the Rajya Sabha Vice Chairmen panel, Vijayasai Reddy’s name was removed from the list yesterday for unknown reasons right on the first day of the winter Parliamentary sessions.
On Monday, Vijayasai Reddy, along with 7 other Rajya Sabha MPs, was included in the Rajya Sabha Vice Chairmen panel list. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar had signed the orders reconstituting the panel. Vijayasai Reddy had even thanked the Vice President for the honor and assured his full cooperation in the functioning of the House.
The newly constituted Panel of Vice Chairmen include MPs such as Bhubaneswar Kalita, Vandana Chavan, Sukhendu Sekhar Ray, Dr. L. Hanumanthaiah, Indu Bala Goswami, Dr. Sasmit Patra and Tiruchi Siva.
In October, Vijayasai Reddy was appointed as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Surface Transport, Civil Aviation, Shipping, Tourism and Culture. Meanwhile, neither the Rajya Sabha nor the Vice President’s office have officially commented on the reason behind Vijayasai Reddy’s omission from the Rajya Sabha Vice Chairmen panel list.
