Many in the political circles feels that Jagan is a perfect businessman, here is one more example for this business skills. In a shocking development, Andhra Pradesh state government is reportedly imposing a rule of buying CM YS Jagan-owned Sakshi newspaper. The state government is paying allowances to the government’s Grama volunteers.
Now, the government has decided to pay allowances to village and ward secretariat employees towards purchase of Sakshi newspaper monthly. This is going to directly benefit Jagan-owned Sakshi paper by increasing the revenue and paper sales.
AP government is spending about Rs 5.22 Crore monthly under Newspaper Allowance to 2.61 lakh village and ward volunteers. Each volunteer receives Rs 200 from the government towards buying newspaper.
This is extended to the village and ward secretariat employees. This is going to cost Rs 10.45 Crore to public exchequer from December 22 to March 23 period. The allocation for the four months has been done by the government.
Already, there is a controversy on government advertisements published in Sakshi newspaper to the tune of crores that is costing public exchequer. The latest imposition of buying Sakshi paper and burning public money is drawing huge criticism from the opposition parties.
