The Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi has been agitating against the ‘Three Capitals’ row over the last eight months. Simultaneously the farmers are fighting on it in the courts and this is mainly because a majority of the farmers have knowledge about laws and rights. With legal options before them, the farmers are countering the YCP government in every possible way.
Under these circumstances, a petition has been filed in the AP High Court which really turned many heads. The petition claimed that the state government wanted to change the capital at any cost and so it deliberately made laws and in this all the political parties have a hand in this.
Accepting the petition, the High Court took a sensational decision. The farmers in their petition included the statements made by various political parties on different occasions and taking them into contemplation, the High Court has served notices to AP CM YS Jagan, TDP and BJP which are the major parties in the state. The court has found fault with the political parties for making such statements when in opposition and in power.
Meanwhile following the Supreme Court’s order, the ‘Three Capitals’ row yet again came for hearing on Thursday. The High Court has postponed the case to September 21st and until the ‘Status Quo’ remains. From September 21st, the court will hear the case on daily basis until it delivers the final verdict.
