The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to get strengthened in Telangana and with 2023 Assembly elections less than a year away, BJP is gearing up for more political strategies. Accordingly BJP is in thoughts to give union ministry to one of the four MPs from Telangana.
Ahead of the 2024 general elections, the BJP high command plans for a one last union cabinet reshuffle. In this cabinet reshuffle, BJP is in thoughts to include either Rajya Sabha MP Laxman or Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind. Secunderabad MP G Kishan Reddy is already representing the union cabinet and adding one more would change the party equation in Telangana.
From Delhi sources we hear that the BJP high command is inclined towards Dharmapuri Aravind since Laxman represents the Hyderabad region and with Kishan Reddy already from this region, the BJP wants to give a chance to a leader from north Telangana region.
In these prospects Nizamabad MP looks favourable for the BJP. Known for being highly vocal against Telangana CM KCR, KTR and Kavitha, MP Aravind emerged as the strong force in the last three and half years.
Meanwhile the BJP high command wants to continue Bandi Sanjay as the chief of Telangana wing. After taking over Telangana BJP, the party has strengthened a lot under the leadership of Bandi believes the high command. With Bandi at the helm, the BJP will be going for the Assembly polls in December 2023 and Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
If Aravind becomes the union minister, BJP will significantly gain in Nizamabad and north Telangana which is a fort for the BRS. This strategy will also checkmate KCR’s daughter Kavitha who has challenged that she would defeat Aravind in the next polls.
