Telangana Finance minister Harish Rao commented that the state government employees receive the highest salaries in the country, in a way are the richest employees among all the states.
Haris Rao commented so at 75 years of State Teachers Union celebrations. The minister added that Telangana CM KCR is employees friendly person because he knew the kind of spirit the employees have shown during the Telangana separate statehood agitation.
On the reports of crediting salaries late, Harish Rao blamed PM Modi led union government.
“It’s due to Centre’s delay in monthly payment, some employees are receiving their salaries late. Modi government is discriminating Telangana in many aspects yet CM KCR led Telangana government is committed for employees welfare,” said Harish Rao.
Post the Telangana statehood formation, KCR sanctioned 43 percent fitment to employees and RTC employees. But things changed in the second term. In 2019, RTC employees went for strike and CM KCR opposed this strike and served warning too.
Then there is the issue of VRAs. They have protesting against Telangana government’s attitude but are unable to take their agitation to next level.
In a nutshell, a section of employees are still unhappy with Telangana government and their policies.
