TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu is trying to woo the voters by making various promises. Naidu has come up with an interesting promise for the next elections. He said the TDP government would provide quality liquor and keep available reputed brands in the reach of the consumers, if voted to power. During his roadshow in Kavali, Naidu appealed to the government to allow online payment at liquor shops.
It may be recalled that YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy promised to implement total ban on liquor. After being voted to power, he conveniently forgot about the promise and some local brands with strange names are being supplied to the liquor shops.
Further, only cash is being accepted at liquor shops under the YCP rule, despite allegations that the cash made towards payment is getting converted into black money. Reportedly, the AP government even mortgaged the projected income through liquor shops and received a loan of Rs 9,000 crore.
Naidu said that tipplers would remember him by evening, if they voted him to power. The TDP chief also promised to cut down on liquor prices. All these steps will keep the liquor consumers healthy, Naidu assured tipplers.
Did you come across a liquor brand like ‘Boom Boom’, Naidu asked to which the public burst into laughter.
