Minister Ambati Rambabu slammed TDP leader Nara Lokesh’s padayatra ‘Yuva Galam’ and asked if he was a youngster. He also recited a poem by Mahakavi Sri Sri: “Konta mandi kurra vaallu puttuka tho vruddulu, peerla ki, phakeerla ki, pukarla ki nibaddhulu, Nadimi taragati ki chendina avagunala puttalu”
Lokesh Babu is old aged by birth itself and hence, there will not be much impact of his yatra on the people. So, there is no need to obstruct him.”
The TDP is alleging that the YCP government had introduced a GO specifically to stall Lokesh’s walkathon. Who is afraid of all these stunts, he questioned.
The YCP government introduced the GO to avoid the stampede deaths due to the TDP chief’s roadshows and rallies. Chandrababu Naidu began the ‘Idem Karma Rashtraniki’ campaign and the Telugu people are really wondering what has happened to them. People are dying constantly by attending the rallies and in the wake of such a situation, the GO has been issued as a precautionary measure, he said. Else, there is no need to fear about Lokesh’s yatra.
When asked if the YCP’s friendly relations with the BRS would get strengthened as the party president is planning to open their office in Andhra Pradesh, Ambati said that the YCP will maintain cordial relations with KCR just as they do with neighbouring Tamil Nadu CM. It is necessary to have good relations with the neighbours and KCR will also be treated in the same way, he said. Are we in a such a position to fear if someone floats a new party, he asked.
The minister said that the YCP believes that they will win all the 175 seats in the state and emerge victorious with double the strength in the next elections. Neither do we need to get anxious of new parties nor with any political stunts like padayatras in the state. There will be no effect of the BRS, Jana Sena or TDP on the YCP’s votes, he affirmed.
