With the New Year drawing the elections more near, political action has heated up in Andhra Pradesh. The alliance between the TDP and Jana Sena is almost final. There is buzz in both the political parties that the route map of the alliance has also taken shape.
According to fresh updates, the Jana Sena has reportedly asked for allocation of Visakhapatnam Parliament seat to the party in the upcoming elections. There is information that TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu also given nod to it.
During the last few elections, the TDP could not win the Visakha seat. In 2009, Purandeswari (Congress) won the Vizag Parliamentary seat and in 2014, Kambhampati Haribabu (BJP) and in 2019, MVV Satyanarayana (YCP) emerged winners from the constituency. There is speculation that even if the TDP contests from the constituency in 2024, it would easily slip into the YCP’s kitty.
In the wake of such a situation, Naidu could have planned to leave the Vizag seat to Jana Sena and insist on keeping the Narasapuram constituency with the TDP.
There is talk that Pawan Kalyan’s brother Naga Babu is likely to contest from the Vizag constituency, as he would have the support of Mega fans in a big way from here. Recently, thespian Chiranjeevi also announced that he would build his house in Vizag, boosting the morale of his fans.
There is speculation in the Jana Sena that the Visakha Parliamentary constituency would be left for their party, as part of the alliance.
On the other hand, there is buzz that YCP rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju would be given the TDP ticket from Narasapuram. RRR is already showing his solidarity with Chandrababu Naidu through his remarks at press conferences.
It is being said that by giving the TDP ticket to RRR, Naidu is strategically planning to check the YCP’s onslaught in Narasapuram constituency.
