The other day, dramatic scenes took place in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. TN Governor RN Ravi while addressing the Assembly, skipped parts of the speech prepared by the TN CM MK Stalin led government. The ruling DMK legislators severely objected to this and shouted slogans against Governor Ravi.
Within eight minutes, the DMK government brought a resolution against Governor Ravi. However, Governor Ravi sensed something was going to go wrong and he walked out while CM Stalin was speaking in the Assembly. These visuals went viral.
Post this incident, protests erupted against Governor Ravi. On the same day posters against Governor Ravi surfaced all over Tamil Nadu and in the capital, Chennai. These posters had the image of CM Stalin and the media assumed that it might be the work of DMK supporters and sympathisers. On social media #GetOutRavi was trending for the whole day.
Well it seems the situation is going to get even more intense with the ruling DMK party getting ready for an ultimate fight with Governor Ravi. According to TN media, the DMK is likely to stage a massive protest before Raj Bhavan.
On the other hand, it is learned that Governor Ravi had reported to the Union government about the incidents that took place in the Assembly. He included in his report all the incidents like the CM passing a resolution against him in the Assembly and the MLAs mocking him while he was leaving the Assembly. The Governor took steps to ensure that his speech in the Assembly was recorded.
The Governor-giri is getting worse with each passing day. TN Governor Ravi reportedly put 21 bills on hold after they were passed in the TN Assembly. It’s the same case in non-BJP ruling states.
