The Telugu Desam is fast picking up, cashing in on the anti-incumbency against the YCP government in AP. In this order, many senior Telugu Desam leaders are extremely confident that there will be a TDP government next in the state. These calculations have activated the leaders and they are already planning their future political course well in advance. Accordingly some of them are weighing their chances of getting a cabinet berth, in case TDP forms government.
The comments made by former minister Ayyanna Patrudu give impetus to buzz doing rounds. He said that TDP will come to power in another 9 months and he would become the next Home Minister of the state and would show how to handle the law and order.
Ayyanna alleged that law and order was completely out of control during the YCP government and that the police were acting unilaterally. He said that he will protect law and order in AP as Home Minister in the TDP government.
Earlier Tekkali MLA Atchannaidu served a warning to the police and added that he would be the next Home Minister of AP and those officers who acted biased would be dealt with appropriately. Atchannaidu made these comments during the arrest of TDP candidate in Sarpanch elections. The AP TDP chief also said that he would not spare any cop who lodged a fake complaint and cases against him. In the meeting with his followers, Atchannaidu also stated similar comments.
Buzz within the TDP is that t wo leaders from Rayalaseema are also hoping for the post of Home Minister. It seems that there is a full demand for the post of Home Minister. Before coming to power, the list of aspirants for Home Minister’s role from TDP is getting bigger. Political analysts suggest that it is better for the leaders to focus on elections and work hard for the party’s victory instead of assuming things.
