The people of Hyderabad city are eagerly waiting for the cable suspender bridge at Inorbit mall. The construction of the bridge got completed about a month back and the officials are currently testing the bridge’s capacity whether it holds enough weight. Rigorous trials are going on and currently it is in final stages.
From the GHMC sources we hear that the bridge might be open to the general public very soon. So IT minister KTR shared a sneak peek video of the entire bridge and its connecting road. Sharing the video, KTR complimented the engineers behind this epic construction and GHMC for making use of the lockdown period to wrap up the work at the earliest.
“A sneak peek of the very soon to be unveiled cable stay bridge on Durgam Cheruvu. Infrastructure is the key to growth & #Telangana Govt spends over 60% budget on infra creation. Great job engineering team @GHMCOnline @bonthurammohan @arvindkumar_ias,” tweeted KTR.
The length of the bridge alone is 426 metres and with approaches, it reaches up to 736 metres. L&T has constructed the bridge with an estimated cost of Rs 184 crore. The GHMC has spent a few more crore on its lightings and beautification.
However the GHMC is yet to take a call on the opening of the cable bridge.
