Short while ago TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh commenced his Paadayatra from his father Chandrababu Naidu’s Assembly constituency, Kuppam. This huge feat will last for 400 days and Lokesh will cover 4000 kilometres touching all the Assembly constituencies and Lok Sabha segments. However, Lokesh’s Paadayatra has security concerns as the AP Police Department is providing inadequate protection.
With no proper help from AP Police, the TDP has deployed its own team for Lokesh’s security. Volunteers from Telugu Yuvatha and Telugu Nadu Students Federation (TNSF) which are associated wings of Telugu Desam party have come forward to guard Lokesh. Nearly 150 volunteers from Telugu Yuvatha and TNSF were given training and will walk with Lokesh in his 4000 kilometres marathon.
These 150 volunteers will assist people who want to meet Lokesh during the Paadayatra and they will also provide emergency service, if any unwanted incident takes place. Besides this, the TDP has roped in 150 bouncers from Karnataka. These bouncers will ensure the Paadayatra goes smoothly without any hurdles.
A total of 300 members will look after Lokesh during his Paadayatra. That’s huge but TDP defends that the AP police turned helpless. Moreover Lokesh’s Paadayatra will pass through Kadapa and AP CM YS Jagan’s constituency Pulivendula which is a politically sensitive area for obvious reasons.
