Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that Andhra Pradesh was leading others in the country, in all aspects. There are detractors involved in propaganda that the state’s economy is in a crisis and it would soon become like Sri Lanka but it is false, he said.
The CM was speaking at a programme held to mark the release of funds for the third tranche of Jagananna Chedodu at Vinukonda. Targeting the opposition, he said that in the past, a gang of burglars looted the state. At that time, an old man used to be the CM, indirectly hinting at TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu. Eenadu, TV 5, Andhrajyothi and Chandrababu’s foster son are the members of that burglar gang, he said and asked why did not they think of implementing the welfare programmes through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
“At that time, what happened to Naidu’s foster son who claims that he is there only to question corruption? He remained silent. It is because their method of functioning was DPT. DPT means dochuko, panchuko, thinuko” he said.
In a sarcastic note, the CM said that wolves were getting united. “But, your son is walking alone like a lion. He has no alliances. He will walk alone as he is fearless. He does not get scared even if the wolves are uniting as he believes in people and in God,” he said.
Jagan said that it was a war between the poor and the feudal lords. On one side, there is a man who stands by his word and fulfils them while on the other, people who backstab and cheat are getting together. Do you need governance by burglars or a corruption-free system, he asked.
The public know who had killed ‘babai’ and Jagan speaks of backstabbing. He should be ashamed, said a TDP leader.
“It is Jagan who is facing multiple CBI cases in connection with disproportionate assets and he points fingers at the opposition parties who all are clean. The public should realise who is involved in DPT,” pointed out a Jana Sena leader.
