The episode of Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy in YCP seems to have reached climax with the MLA looking towards the Telugu Desam party. A day after alleging that his phone is being tapped by the state government, MLA Kotamreddy has gone in touch with TDP.
From media reports we hear that Kotamreddy had contacted TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and also talked to Nara Lokesh who is currently on 4000 kilometres Paadayatra. We hear that Kotamreddy has received assurance from Naidu and Lokesh on the ticket in next polls.
Kotamreddy is not ready to lose his seat and he learned that the YCP high command is not willing to give him a ticket. Besides this, Kotamreddy is upset with YCP and its attitude towards him. After alleging phone tapping, the YCP leadership did not respond and Kotamreddy is waiting to get a call from CM Jagan or CM’s advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. But nothing as such happened.
Reacting to Kotamreddy’s episode, minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy denied the state government tapping anyone’s phones. “Kotamreddy is our party MLA and what do we get from tapping phones of our MLAs. Such statements are unnecessary. We might have internal differences and they are like a storm in a coffee cup and will die with time,” said minister Kakani.
Nevertheless, media reports suggest that Kotamreddy will join TDP in August or September.
