Another wicket down from YCP?

Published by

This week, the YCP faced rebellion from its party MLAs and it is bothering the leadership. Adding more fuel to the fire, we hear that one more leader has joined the list of rebellion. He is Narasaraopeta MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayulu.

Lavu Krishna Devarayulu is the chairman of Vignan Educational institutes and he accidentally stepped into politics. He successfully contested from Narsaraopeta which falls in Palnadu district but he is said to be not maintaining good rapport with the MLAs that are part of Lok Sabha segment.

Especially with Chilakaluripeta MLA Vidadala Rajni, MP Lavu is not in talking terms. After she became cabinet minister, MP Lavu’s influence in the party and Lok Sabha constituency has come down. Besides this MP Lavu has conflict of interest with MLA Bolla Brahmanaidu of Vinukonda constituency. The YCP leadership has knowledge of MP Lavu and MLA Bolla’s disputes but tried to settle them.

Recently AP CM Jagan visited Vinukonda. In the local MLA’s banners, the image of MP Lavu went missing and this invited debate. And in the public gathering CM Jagan did not pay much attention towards MP Lavu and this reflected the current situation in Palnadu politics.

When CM Jagan was handing over cheques to the beneficiaries, he was surrounded by MLA Bolla and minister Rajini on either sides while MP Lavu stood at the corner and this confused the YCP cadre. MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayu left the stage of the meeting as he was not called while distributing the cheques.

Apparently from a very long time there has been a rumour that Lavu has no proper representation in the YCP and it was replicated at Vinukonda public gathering. This incident sent a direct message to the YCP cadre that he would soon quit the party.

In such circumstances, MP Lavu Krishna Devarayulu is expressing his disappointment with his closed ones and supporters and is of the opinion whether to continue in YCP. MP Lavu opines that he cannot stay where he is not respected despite being their representative in Parliament.
