The Andhra Pradesh politics are revolving around alliances. Currently BJP is in alliance with Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena but there are wide spread speculations that Jana Sena and Telugu Desam might team ahead of the 2024 elections.
Speaking on them, AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju added that our partner is Jana Sena and we will go with them to the elections in 2024. “We are okay with Jana Sena but we are not ready to reunite with Telugu Desam,” said Somu Veerraju.
This has been AP BJP’s stand ever since TDP broke the alliance with BJP before the 2019 elections. But Somu should also be aware of AP BJP’s strength in the state. For denying ‘Special Category Status’ people of AP will never vote for BJP and the party’s growth and strength is very minimal and will play no role in forming government or opposition.
Interestingly Somu Veerraju issued a statement that ‘Special Status’ isn’t a closed chapter yet. “Instead of ‘Special Status’ we have given ‘Special Package’ and sanctioned Rs 15,000 crore to AP. The GoI is yet to sanction a few more funds and will be done soon,” said Somu Veerraju.
