The Andhra Pradesh police department has been maintaining an eagle eye on TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam Paadayatra. A week back the police seized Lokesh’s vehicle at Palamaneru constituency and similar incident repeated today.
On 14th day, Lokesh’s Paadayatra commenced from Atmakuru village of Gangadhar Nellore Mandal in Chittoor district. As Lokesh reached Samsireddypalli, he was greeted by TDP women wing leaders.
Lokesh wanted to address the public who came to receive him. When a TDP karyakarta was trying to hand over mic to Lokesh, the police snatched the mic away. Then the police tried to pull the stool on which Lokesh was standing.
This changed the atmosphere and the TDP cadre was enraged by the police high handedness. The activists staged a protest and argued with the police. Lokesh also protested standing on the stool in the hot Sun.
“The police department is behaving strangely at the best interest of CM Jagan. Just because of a few, the police department is earning a bad reputation and the people are losing faith on them,” said Lokesh.
This ploy of troubling Lokesh would only work against the YCP government and Lokesh will get the much needed attention in media and public will have a soft corner.
