The AP politics are centred around the Kapu community and its reservation row. But not YCP and TDP that are trying to take advantage of this issue and it’s the BJP which is attempting to influence the vote bank of Kapu community. In that line, BJP Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao has come up with new demands and he addressed them in the Upper House on Monday.
“Vangaveeti Mohan Ranga was a people’s leader and unfortunately he was killed by his opponents. As a mark of respect to Ranga, the international airport in Vijayawada should be named after Ranga and I will appeal the same to the Civil Aviation ministry,” said GVL.
The BJP MP faulted the YCP government for not recognising Vangaveeti Ranga. “Recently the state government has reorganised districts but not even a single district is named after Ranga. In Krishna and Machilipatnam districts, Ranga has a huge following and so the state government should consider naming Ranga’s name to any of the districts,” stated GVL.
Here, GVL has intentionally pointed out the name of Vangaveeti Ranga because there is a growing unrest over the Kapu community reservation row. The other day Kanna Lakshmi Narayana faulted GVL on Kapu reservation while GVL replied that the government of India has no responsibility on the issue.
