Former minister and YCP’s indecent leader Kodali Nani said that Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would neither gain financially nor politically by killing his uncle Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. In a bid to steer clear of rumours that Jagan was behind the killing of his uncle, the former minister said that Viveka’s assets got transferred to his wife, daughter and son-in-law but not to any of the YCP leaders.
If TDP boss N. Chandrababu Naidu had backstabbed his father-in-law and party founder, he could become the CM and also become the party president. He could also begin efforts to make his ‘useless’ son a political leader, Nani said.
Now, if Jagan gets his uncle killed, what will he get except some expenditure towards coffee and tiffin to those making a visit to Viveka’s house. Viveka was a Congress leader who contested against Vijayamma. Except for that, he was not the party founder or president. Neither did he make any serious effort to strengthen the party, the former minister said.
Coming to the political gains, Nani said that even if Viveka was alive, Jagan would have given the Kadapa MP seat to Y.S. Avinash Reddy only because he (Avinash) and Bhaskar Reddy had strived for the YCP’s development. Viveka and his family always tried to trounce Jagan and Vijayamma in the elections by contesting as rivals.
At the same time, he also said that the YCP asked for a CBI inquiry because it was not in power and did not believe in the CID probe under the TDP’s rule. After coming to power, the YCP government asked for CID inquiry as it is our own administration and we are confident that the case would be probed thoroughly, Nani said.
However, the TDP leaders are trying to break their heads and find some fault with the YCP government for having asked a change in the investigation agency. This is the only logic the YCP government has and there is nothing more to it, he clarified.
In his usual style, he fumed at Opposition leader and expressed doubt if Naidu was behind the killing of YS Vivekananda Reddy and then passed orders that the CBI cannot enter into the state, as the YCP is asking for a CBI probe.
