Former minister Kanna Lakshmi Narayana has ended the suspense and tendered his resignation to the BJP. He sent his resignation letter to BJP National President JP Nadda and along with him 15 of his supporters also left the BJP.
To the media, Kanna informed the reasons behind his resignation. “Currently in AP BJP, the atmosphere is not favourable. I’m upset with the state’s leadership and I do not want to continue further in the party,” said Kanna and indirectly he hit AP BJP chief Somu Veerraju. Kanna also added that Somu is running the party with his personal agenda like his own company and this will do no good for the party. Moreover the BJP is not responding appropriately to public issues that are being implemented by the YCP government.
“10 months before the 2019 elections, I was given the opportunity to handle AP BJP affairs. I did my best for the party despite many hurdles,” said Kanna. Many times, Kanna informed about the differences he was having with Somu Veerraju to the BJP leadership but there was no action from the other side. All these happenings have seriously upset Kanna.
When asked about his future political course, Kanna added that time will decide. “I will sit with my supporters and seek their suggestions. Whatever we discuss and zero upon, my future will highly depend on it,” stated Kanna.
Reports recommend that Kanna is looking at the Telugu Desam but some rumours say that he might join Jana Sena. Post Siva Ratri festival, Kanna will take a call on the party, he would want to join.
