APSRTC and TSRTC have been holding talks to recommence the inter-state transport for a while. Despite discussing on several occasions, there is a lack of clarity and so no decision is being taken to run the buses between the Telugu states.
In the last talks between TSRTC and APSRTC, Telangana made it clear that it would run its buses in AP state in limited numbers. “For about 1.52 Lakh kilometres, we would run our buses in AP and that too, it would be to major cities in the state. We are incurring huge losses and have no other option rather than to cut down our services to less important destinations,” is what TSRTC informed the APSRTC.
However, the AP transport authority is not satisfied with TSRTC’s approach. They are said to be taking legal opinion and also discuss the details of discussion with the AP government.
Both APSRTC and TSRTC are stubborn on their demands and this looks unlikely that a decision to run buses between the two states might not happen soon. So inevitably the people have to wait longer than expected.
