A day after high drama, TDP spokesperson Pattabhi Ram was presented in Gannavaram court. Pattabhi, who was being shifted to the Gannavaram court, tried to show injuries on his body allegedly when he was in police custody.
Ever since Pattabhi was arrested the other day and his whereabouts were kept secret, his wife Chandana and family members were demanding police to reveal Pattabhi’s whereabouts and allow them to talk to him via video call, but cops had denied the family’s demand.
Today when Pattabhi was presented in the Gannavaram court, there were several injuries on his hand and he tried to display the injuries on his body to the media. Pattabhi’s wife Chandana and family members demanded explanation from police bosses on the injuries on Pattabhi’s body.
Earlier, YSRCP MP Raghurama Raju, who is the harshest critic of CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy, also alleged that police had beaten him in their custody and given him third degree treatment. Raghurama Raju had even complained to the Lok Sabha speaker on the police’s ill treatment of him. Now, Pattabhi seems to be the fresh victim of alleged police beating.
Looks like Revenge Politics and Vendetta Politics are again back in Andhra Pradesh politics. Opposition leaders have been raising their voice against the ruling party leaders’ brazen attack.
The other day, Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s close associates reportedly resorted to physical attack against TDP office in Gannavaram and vandalised the office furniture and beaten TDP leaders and burnt an Innova car. TDP leaders alleged that YSRCP leaders are behind the attack whereas police are arresting TDP leaders. More details are awaited.
