Deputy CM Used 18 Phones In Liquor Scam?

The arrest of New Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia in connection with Delhi Liquor scam was an expected event. On Sunday he appeared before the CBI and was arrested subsequently.

In this arrest the version of CBI is that Sisodia did not cooperate with the probe agency officials during the investigation. “Sisodia attempted to evade many questions shot at him by the officials. The information he provided was inadequate but he played a crucial role in designing the liquor policy. To extract more information from, we have arrested him,” said the CBI sources.

But vital info related to CBI’s investigation of Sisodia has come out. The Delhi deputy allegedly used 18 mobile phones and had four different contact numbers. In a single day, Sisodia changed three phones and out of the 18 phones he used, he destroyed a couple of them in an attempt to tarnish the evidence.

This morning the CBI has performed medical tests to Sisodia and will produce him before the Rouse Avenue court. The CBI will request the custody of Sisodia and will intensify the probe.

Surprising factor in Sisodia’s arrest episode is that the CBI did not include his name in the charge-sheet as an accused yet only after gathering credible evidences against him, the CBI detained him.

So far 11 people have been arrested in Delhi liquor policy scam. YCP MP Magunta’s son Raghava Reddy was arrested most recently. BRS MLC Kavitha Rao is also questioned by the CBI in this case and some media reports suggest that she might be the next person to be arrested.
