Former Rajya Sabha MP TG Venkatesh appealed to the NDA government to impose Governor’s rule in three states i.e, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and New Delhi. Defending his statements, TG opined that if Governor’s rule is not imposed, the elections in these three states will be held in a very disturbed atmosphere.
“Take the case of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), AAP created a lot of ruckus during the elections and for electing Mayor and deputy Mayor, the MCD House witnessed violent events. Similar environment can be seen in Telangana and AP. Both the ruling parties in the Telugu states have their own media and these channels are reporting that all is well in Telangana and Andhra which is not the case. If this situation continues, elections will not be held in a peaceful manner and so I appealed for Governor’s rule in Andhra, Delhi and Telangana,” stated TG Venkatesh.
When asked about a major section of national media supporting PM Modi led NDA government, Venkatesh replied that PM Modi is doing unprecedented work and is drawing the attention of the whole world and if this is faulted, nothing can be done.
On irrigation projects to Rayalaseema, TG Venkatesh threw the blame on YCP led AP government. “Many clearances from various departments are required before commencing the construction of a project. If the state government doesn’t approach the respective tribunals for clearances, it is the fault of the state government not the union government,” answered TG in a tactical way.
TG’s remarks suggest that the BJP high command is seriously thinking about these three states. In fact BJP leadership has laid special focus on Delhi and Telangana and wants to grab power by all means in the next elections. In case of AP, BJP has knowledge that it needs a miracle to win but they have grip over AP CM Jagan who is involved in multiple CBI and other agencies cases.
