Vizag Painted With YCP Colours!

All arrangements have been made for the Global Investors Summit-2023 scheduled to be held on March 3-4 in Vizag. The Andhra Pradesh government had invited industry giants including representatives of Ambani, Adani groups and others from Europe and America. Reportedly, many of the invitees have also expressed consent to attend the Summit. The state government is using the Summit both to attract investments from outside and also to name Vizag the capital city.

Apart from the Investors Summit, the state government would also organize some other meetings in connection with the G20 till the end of the this month.

After Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed charge as the chief minister, unofficial directions have been passed that YCP colours should be visible at all vantage points in the state. Now, Vizag is being painted in YCP colours. There are directions reportedly that all the routes through which the foreign and national delegates would travel, the hotels at which they would stay and also other tourist places which they would visit should be beautified in the best possible manner. Over Rs 125 crore was also allocated exclusively for the purpose.

As part of the beautification, electric poles and even hoarding frames have also been painted in white, green and blue. Dividers, footpaths and even walls besides roads would also be painted in YCP colours and Rs 20 crore has been allocated for the purpose, according to the GVMC officials.

As per the rules of the national highways authority of India and R&B department, only yellow and black colours should be used on the roads and dividers as they would help the motorists have knowledge about the road margins, during travel in the nights.

Opposition leaders alleges that, the state government has ignored all the rules and is smearing all medians, dividers and footpaths with YCP colours. Even the police outpost at the beach, opposite the YMCA, has been painted with YCP colours. The green and blue colours have been smeared on the bus stop there too. Despite being chided by the court several times with regard to promoting the party colours on government buildings, the YCP government seems to be not
