The Employees Unions of Andhra Pradesh have gave a call to conduct protests all over the state starting from 9th March. This move is a double setback to the state government as this coincides with the MLC elections in the state that are scheduled to take place from 13th March.
The MLC elections are for 3 in Graduate segments and two in teachers segment. The MLC elections for these 5 seats cover almost all the districts in the state. In this background, the Employees Unions protest garner significance.
Meanwhile, the teachers across the state are said to be quite unhappy and angry with the state government over new rules and regulations including facial recognition and thumb impression for their attendance.
These naturally didn’t go well with the teachers. So, the result of 2 teachers MLC posts hold crucial. At the same time, the delay in salaries and pensions become crucial topic in these graduates MLC polls.
On the other hand, ruling party is leaving no stone unturned to win all the 5 MLC seats. CM Jagan has tasked the ministers to get victory in the MLC elections. At this juncture, all eyes are on the employees unions protests.
Recently, AP state government successfully conducted the Global Investors summit. So, we have to wait and watch whether YSRCP sail through this or not.
