Kavitha has responded to the Enforcement Directorate’s notice to her in the ongoing Delhi liquor scam. Kavitha raised the timing of the ED summons and said she received the notice to appear in front of the ED on 9th March whereas she is supposed to take part in a dharna by opposition parties for the Women’s Reservation Bill at Jantar Mantar on 10th March.
Taking to Twitter, Kavitha wrote, “Ahead of our March 10 dharna along with the opposition parties and women organisations demanding the Women’s Reservation Bill at Jantar Mantar, I have been summoned by the ED on March 9th.”
Kavitha’s response to the ED was shared publicly. She said she would not be able to attend before ED on 9th March. She cited 10th March dharna and other prefixed appointments as the reason.
“As a law-abiding citizen, I will fully cooperate with the investigation agencies. However, due to the Dharna and prefixed appointments, I’ll seek legal options on the date of attending it.”
Kavitha shot back at the BJP-led centre. She said such tactics won’t deter their leader CM KCR and BRS Party.
“I would also like the ruling party at the Centre to know that these tactics of intimidation against the fight and voice of our leader, CM Shri KCR, and against the entire BRS Party will not deter us. Under the leadership of KCR Garu, we will continue to fight to expose your failures & raise voice for a brighter and better future of India,” Kavitha wrote in her letter.
Kavitha posted this on her Twitter page and wrote, “Telangana won’t bow down.”
