Amaravati Lands For Sale! Farmers Serious

Published by

Somehow AP CM YS Jagan was unhappy with Amaravati being the capital of Andhra Pradesh and within the six months, he took the CM chair, he proposed ‘Three Capitals’ and recently he confirmed that Vizag is going to be the Executive Capital and very soon he will also shift to the beach city.

To weaken the first capital, Amaravati, the YCP government has decided to sell the lands in the CRDA region. Guntur district Collector has issued a notification for sale of 14 acres of land in the Amaravati capital and the price cap for an acre has also been fixed. At Navaluru, 10 acres of land was identified and the price per acre here is Rs 5,94,50,000.

In Pichukapalem next to the highway of Seed Axis, four acres will be for sale and the price here is Rs 5,41,04,000. The sale of land will be carried out in e-auction and more details related to the auction will be informed by CRDA in the coming days.

However, this decision to sell the land has invited a protest from Amaravati farmers who have been opposing the ‘Three Capitals’ idea from the day CM Jagan announced the same. Wednesday being women’s day, the women farmers staged a protest in large numbers.

The case is pending in the Supreme Court of India and without its final verdict, the YCP government is taking a provocative decision only to bring unrest among farmers who are opposing ‘Three Capitals.’

Last year the YCP government planned a similar event. But the plans turned upside down and the sale of land did not happen for many reasons. Now that farmers are back protesting, they would want to intensify their agitation with the YCP government intends to sell the land under what may be the circumstances.
