The Uttarandhra graduate MLC elections have heated politics in Visakhapatnam. Simultaneously these elections appear that Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena and the BJP are going to end their alliance with none of the parties supporting each other and their candidates
From TDP, Chiranjeevi Rao is contesting the MLC elections while from BJP it is the sitting MLC PVN Madhav. Sudhakar from YCP and Rama Prabha from PDF are in the MLC poll foray. But the main fight is going to be between Telugu Desam’s Chiranjeevi and PDF’s Rama Prabha.
YCP’s Sudhakar is unlikely to get a deposit owing to the ruling party’s policies against teachers and graduates. With main fight between TDP and PDF, Jana Sena is said to be thinking whom to support. TDP has already approached Jana Sena’s support and Pawan’s party categorically passed out hints on support to its cadre.
There are reasons behind Jana Sena ignoring BJP. The decisions taken by AP CM YS Jagan led YCP government were indirectly backed by BJP led government of India. On debts, three capitals and others, BJP did not intervene and this irked Pawan despite repeated attempts from him. When PM Modi came to Vizag, Pawan was pacified but no concrete measures were taken later.
Considering all these factors, Pawan made up his mind to ignore BJP. Having knowledge of the reality, BJP is campaigning on its own for the MLC elections. The other day a bike rally was held in Vizag and there was absolutely no word of Jana Sena from the BJP leaders. Also Jana Sena stayed away when BJP’s Madhav was filing the nomination. Simultaneously there was no word from the Jana Sena too on BJP’s candidate.
All in all, the alliance of BJP and Jana Sena has unofficially ended and it’s just a matter of time to make it official.
