Fake Voters, TDP Blames YCP

MLC polls in Andhra Pradesh allegedly witnessed several fake votes. Opposition parties and several media houses highlighted that several fake voters were swung into action to cast votes in favour of the ruling party.

TDP leaders alleged that the ruling party has brought-in fake voters in various districts and made them cast for their candidates. It is also alleged that ruling YSRCP leaders resorted to malpractices and booth-capture.

Ex deputy CM Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa alleged that ruling party leaders were behind the bogus votes cast till afternoon. He alleged that several booths were captured by ysrcp polling booth agents and leaders. In CM YS Jagan’s own constituency Pulivendula, booth no 80 was allegedly captured.

TDP MLC Ashok Babu too came down heavily on the malpractices that occurred in MLC elections in AP. He said the election was stopped in polling booth no. 229 In Tirupati. Ashok alleged that bogus votes were cast till 12 pm and it was followed by booth-captures. He demanded re-election in the centres where bogus votes were created. He said TDP and CPI, CPM leaders were physically attacked when questioned about ruling party leaders’ wrong doings. He said TDP leader BTech Ravi and his vehicle were attacked by ruling YCP leaders when the former had questioned about booth-capture in Pulivendula. Babu alleged that police are booking false cases against the TDP leaders and other opposition leaders.

Some videos in TV channels displayed seventh-class and ninth-class passed women casting their votes in the graduate elections. As per the women, they were selected to cast their votes by their ward members in the MLC polls.
