MLC Kavitha’s investigation by the Enforcement Directorate and her possible arrest in the case are triggering infighting within Telangana BJP leaders. BJP state president and MP Bandi Sanjay has made some critical remarks against Kavitha. However, these are not in good taste. BRS leaders have resorted to protests and even approached the Women’s Commission against the MP. The Women’s Commission has issued notices to Bandi.
In this backdrop, Kavitha’s sharp critic and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind came out in the media and said Bandi’s comments were his personal and they have nothing to do with the BJP. That’s not all. Arvind commented that the state president post in a national party is just for coordination post with responsibility. He said Bandi Sanjay has to be careful while using the Telangana proverbs.
Arvind’s sudden and shocking comments on Bandi Sanjay have turned the whole issue. Arvind need not make these statements openly in front of the media. It is clearly evident that there were already existing differences between Bandi and Arvind. Apparently, several leaders are directly in touch with Bandi and want to join the BJP fold. This is not going down well with Arvind and some other BJP leaders locally. It is heard that BJP national leaders had already once called the leaders to Delhi and asked them to work cohesively.
BJP leader Vijayashanti has responded to the whole issue and said she would only respond to Bandi’s comments in the party’s internal meeting. She strongly countered BRS leaders who demanded Bandi to take back his words. Vijayshanti said KCR and family then have to take their words back hundreds of times.
