YSRCP candidate Kavuru Srinivas registered victory in the West Godavari district MLC elections by 418 votes and Narthu Ramarao from srikakulam district who is backed by the ruling party won by 632 votes against independent candidate Anepu Ramakrishna. Anepu is supported by the Telugu Desam.

In 2007, 2011 and 2017, the second priority votes played a pivotal role and this time it’s no different. At Swarna Bharati stadium the counting is underway with a polling staff of 500 members.
