Will Jagan Brings Back Vijaya Sai Reddy?

Published by

YCP MP and senior leader V. Vijayasai Reddy is the most reliable leader in the ruling party. Political observers say that two recent happenings reveal how important Sai Reddy is for the party. The two incidents include Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s recent tour in Delhi which was a success and the other is the YCP’s defeat in the North Andhra MLC polls.

Sai Reddy’s role is prominent in both these incidents. There is no other leader in the YCP who can manage things in Delhi better than Sai Reddy. He is known for being adept in this area.

Coming to the defeat of the YCP in the Graduate MLC polls in North Andhra, party senior leader Y.V. Subba Reddy monitored the electioneering. Usually, Sai Reddy is given the cudgels whenever the YCP has to face any elections but this time, Subba Reddy was brought into the scene. Being a newcomer, his strategy did not work out and the party had to face defeat in the MLC polls.

Meanwhile, YCP government chief advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has become more influential in the YCP. There is talk that Sajjala is trying to compete for the No. 2 position in the YCP and hence, is playing a prominent role in all issues, including the elections. As part of it, he had removed Sai Reddy from helming the MLC polls in North Andhra and also from managing the social media of the YCP, according to party sources.

It is being said that Sajjala has knowledge and grip over administrative affairs but not in issues concerning the public. The removal of Sai Reddy from key positions has led to the unprecedented defeat of the YCP in the polls, said political observers.
