The Graduate and local authorities constituencies MLC election results were a massive setback for the YCP government and CM YS Jagan Reddy. The YCP high command went on high alert with these results and so is very cautious on the next MLC elections that will be held with MLA criteria.
A total of seven MLC have been to be elected under MLAs quota and YCP has placed candidates for all the seven vacant seats. But with Telugu Desam placing one of their leaders for the elections, YCP high command swung into action. AP CM Jagan has directed the intelligence department to lay an eagle eye on the MLAs.
Apparently CM Jagan wants to learn if there are MLAs who are upset with party leadership. Already YCP rebel MLAs Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Anam Ramnarayana Reddy have announced that they will vote whomever they want and YCP is in no mood to lose further votes. Every vote counts for YCP and CM Jagan is making strategic political moves to ensure not more than two votes slip out that rightfully belongs to the YCP.
This MLC election is a litmus test for the YCP and CM Jagan. The polling will be held on March 23rd and YCP is holding mock polling for the MLAs and is making sure that they are voting for their party’s candidates.
