Usually, police protection is provided to politicians who have security threats. But quite strangely, a politician’s cut-out got protection from the police. This took place in Nellore town. A police team guarded ex minister and Nellore city MLA Anil Kumar Yadav’s cut-out placed at Narataki center.
Going into details, as part of Anil Kumar’s birthday celebration, his followers erected cut-out and flexis in the city against the rules and regulations. In Particular, the cut-out at Narataki center is placed such that it is obstructing the view of NTR’s statue.
So TDP leaders strongly objected to this and appealed to officials to remove it immediately. Recently joined TDP leader Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy along with his followers went to Nartaki center to place a garland to NTR’s statue.
During this, police feared that TDP leaders and followers may remove Anil’s cut-out which could create law and order problems. As per some media reports, a police team were deployed to guard the cut-out. This became a talking point in the town.
Meanwhile, TDP leaders are raising concerns on this whole issue. Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sreedhar Reddy was once a close friend of Anil Kumar. But recent developments in the party changed their friendship and political equations. Sreedhar Reddy was recently suspended by ruling YCP. Kotamreddy’s brother Giridhar Reddy has joined TDP.
