The Supreme Court of India is serious over delay in the investigation of former MP YS Vivekananda Reddy. The top court questioned the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on the delay in its investigation and asked how long does it take to investigate the case. The apex court asked the CBI to present the reasons and motives for the murder of the former Kadapa MP. The court asked the CBI to either change the Investigation Officer or replace the existing officer with a new officer to fasten the investigation. These are serious remarks of the Supreme Court.
YS Viveka’s murder has become the subject of politics in Andhra Pradesh as both the ruling and the opposition parties are leveling allegations against one another and blaming each other. YS Viveka’s daughter N Sunitha sought the Supreme Court’s supervision in the probe. Earlier, Sunitha had told the court that there is no progress in the investigation of his father’s murder even after four years. YSViveka’s brutal murder took place on 15th March, 2019 at his residence in Pulivendula.
