AP IT Minister Gudivada Amarnath, who is often in news of late, is back in the headlines. Minister Amarnath visited the famous Nukalamma temple in Anakapalle on Sunday ahead of the famous Nookalamma Jathara, a month-long festival that is set to start from Tuesday. Minister Amarnath faced an unpleasant experience at the temple during his visit.
Reportedly, minister Amarnath had to wait for 45 minutes for Nookalamma Darshan as he came during the break-time. As part of the rituals, during Naivedyam to deity, the darshan for the Goddess would be stopped for all. Minister Amarnath was severely upset that he was not informed about the timings of Darshan in advance.
Upset and angry minister had complained to the senior officials of the Endowment department. With this, the Endowment department has acted against the two officials responsible for this incident and issued transfer orders to them. Incharge officer Buddha Nagesh and Nookalamma temple Secretary Chandrasekhar have been transferred.
Superintendent S Rajarao has been given additional charge as Anakapalle district Endowment incharge. Visakha Vaibhava Venkateswara temple EO Bandaru Prasad has been given responsibility of Nookalamma temple management.
